Coliving with us in Lobitos

coliving breakfast time
Just on top of the hill in the small surf village of Lobitos on the Peruvian north coast, you find the oasis of Buena Vista Lobitos. An amazing and equally relaxing accomodation, a stones throw from uncrowded surf.

Swimming pool, garden, yoga area, gym, pingpong table, library, rooftop chillout spot, etc; this place really has all the facilities you need and much more. When you want to get some work done or just relax, there are also a bunch of cozy nooks and spots where you can get privacy.

Waking up here you can climb the stairs to the Mirador to check out how the waves look. If there are some nice peaks, jump in for a sesh before work. When you're back, a rich and delicious breakfast will be awaiting before you dive into the work tasks of the day, in this tranquil surf paradise.

Our remote working community

Buenavista is a family-owned accommodation, and this is really felt throughout the atmosphere, staying here you truly feel like you're at home and part of a very warm family.

The communal breakfast is the place to meet up with the other people around, catch up on surf stories, and make plans for the day.

Once the work and surf day is over, there are board games, a ping-pong table, and foosball. As well as plenty of cozy common areas where you can hang out with the other guests.

Our Coworking Space

At Buena Vista there are a lot of spaces to choose from for your work-day, and a lot of them with a view of the ocean.

On the second floor, you have a big open space with chairs and tables and a beautiful huge windowless window facing the ocean. Here you also have a station with free coffee and tea, as well as several couches and comfy armchairs.
If you instead prefer to get your work done from a puff or maybe a rocking chair, just head up to the mirador, with a view of the bay.

Need to make a private call? All rooms have their own patio with a table and chairs.

For an even more relaxed work position, we recommend the sunbeds around the pool. Or why not the hammock on your patio?

The Surf near Lobitos, Peru

In Lobitos, there is a wave for everyone and the location is also highly consistent when it comes to swell. If you're a total beginner, we'd recommend some lessons in the whitewash at the point. Once you've leveled up, just paddle out a bit further and start catching the greenwaves.

For more intermediate surfers besides the point, just walk down the beach a bit further and you'll have a crazy exciting drop at Piscinas. Or long left and rights in the middle of the bay. If the other spots are too small in the bay (which pretty seldom happens), take a short tuk tuk ride to the exposed left of Batterias. When its on this wave can provide a 300 m ride and some barreling sections.

If you're looking for the biggest waves, the winter of June to October offers the powerful south and southeasterly swells. During the summer (November to May) the surf is not as big or consistent. However it's still almost always surfable and lots of waves, even for intermediate to advanced surfers.

This is really one of those places where you don't want to leave. Internet was working flawlessly, the accommodation has everything you would want and the Correa family is super nice. During my stay, there were lots of returning guests and lots of guests who kept on extending their stay, including me =)
