We are located in the heart of Norway’s Lofoten Islands, nestled in between the trees on the shores of Lake Steira. We love to bring like-minded travelers together and create a space where you can fully experience all the outdoor adventures on the islands.

At FURU you will find minimalistic and stylish dorms, private rooms and apartments. Our interior is inspired by the beautiful nature around us and each room has its own unique design with views over our lake or mountains surrounding us. Our Café serves seasonal, locally-sourced dishes which will fuel you up for all the adventures ahead.

We are a small team of outdoor enthusiasts and stoked to share our love for nature and life on the islands. See you soon up North at FURU.

Share a dorm room with your old or new friends. As your home and adventure base, our dorm rooms are designed to give you comfort and privacy while room-sharing with like-minded travellers. You’ll have a good night’s sleep in our wooden, custom-made beds outfitted with a privacy curtain, a reading light and an electrical socket to charge your gear for another day outdoors. You can cook your food in our common kitchen, but our Café also serves many delicious meals during the summer. Make sure to exchange some adventure plans with your new room mates and make friends for a lifetime.

Our apartments are the right place to relax after a long day in the mountains. The apartments will give you the privacy you seek while still enjoying the adventure-community vibe at FURU. This will be your home away from home - where you can relax in your cozy living room, get a good night’s sleep in our comfy bedrooms, and refresh in your private bathroom. Each apartment has a balcony facing the evening sun and if you are lucky you will spot an Elk passing by not too far from your window.
