FURU Hostel

We are Guri and Arne, two friends both anchored in the outdoor community on the Lofoten Islands. In addition to our passion for the outdoors, we share a common dream: build up Scandinavias coolest Hostel by creating a space where outdoor-minded locals and travellers can come together and fully experience island life above the Arctic Circle. Development of FURU Hostel began in March 2019 and within a years time, the two-hectare property has been brought back to life again. With the help of old and new friends, family, and artists - and after many hours of painting, laying down floors, and building beds - we were ready to open in summer 2020. FURU, your home and adventure base in Lofoten, with endless possibilities throughout the seasons - from unforgettable summer experiences in the midnight sun, to cold, crisp winter nights when the Northern Lights dance in the sky. A place where outdoor-minded travellers meet and experience island life together.    Choose between our minimalistic and stylish dorms, private rooms and apartments with interiors inspired by the breathtaking landscape outside. Welcome to Island Life. On our islands here in Lofoten, you can surf, climb, hike, kayak and go ski touring all in the same day. Are you a Digital Nomad, Entrepreneur, Freelancer or simply need a change of your office view? We converted our Loft into a cosy co-working space, for you to get your work done in between exploring the islands. It is not a big office space but a cosy one with 5 dedicated desks. Each desk comes with a monitor, HDMI cable, a proper office chair and lots of hygge.
