Staying with us, making friends and becoming part of the Casa das Flores community happens easily in our five-room-house.
Start the day by joining new mates for breakfast on the wooden deck overlooking Ericeira. After the break is over and you have topped up on caffeinated energy, it is most likely time to get some work done before teaming up for a group surf down at the nearby beach of Praia do Sul or any of the other beaches.
Once the sun is starting to make its way down towards the blue horizon, why not light up the BBQ and grill some delicious fish, fresh from the market? Always with an amazing view of Ericeira, and of the Atlantic Ocean.

Casa das Flores offers a spacious coworking space in the living room with a large table for professional work and social connections with others. In addition to the coworking table, the room has a comfortable sofa and table as well as a couple of armed chairs. Most of the bedrooms have working desks in case you need to have zoom meetings or telephone calls.
At the wooden deck outside the house there are tables and chairs for work, social interactions and relaxation with the beautiful sea view in front of you.

The Surf near null, Portugal
The Ericeira World Surfing Reserve is the first, and was until recently, the only surfing reserve in Europe. It consists of a wide variety of breaks with waves for total beginners to highly advanced surfers. You will easily reach all surf spots a few minutes away by car from the guest house.
The house is located in the heart of Ericeira with only a ten minutes walk to Praia do Baleia/Praia do Sul and Praia dos Pescadores. While the latter is for those who sunbathe and swim, the former usually has something for every surfer with its cruise right wave on the north side and punchy left on the south side. It is one of the spots in Ericeira that is a bit more protected in case the swell is big.
If it is smaller waves on offer, we recommend Praia da Foz do Lizandro, which is the next beach to the south. Here you have both reef breaks and beach breaks as well as plenty of white water during low tide. Perfect for beginners to practice popups. If you have time over, why not rent a stand-up-paddle-board (SUP) here and explore the river of Foz do Lizandro.
Not far to the north, you have Praia do São Sebastião and Praia do Matadouro, perfect for beginners close to the beach and for other surfers further out in the ocean.
Besides the breaks above, if you drive or do not mind catching an uber, or arrive during high season when bus 2123 runs between Foz do Lizandro and Praia de Ribeira d’Ilhas every 30 minutes, the options are endless - from the fun beach break of Praia de São Julião south of Ericeira, to the World Surf League destination (Ericeira's most popular spot) Ribeira de d’Ilhas, and the heavy barrelling waves of Coxos.

How to get here
We are located just 40 minutes by taxi, Uber or Bolt from Lisbon and its airport Lisbon Humberto Delgado (LIS). Mafrense bus provides public transportation from Lisbon and we offer pickup service from Ericeira bus terminal. If you arrive by your own car, parking is free on both sides of the street outside our guest house. While public transport is available locally, if you rent a car you will be more flexible when exploring various surf spots in and around Ericeira. The closest beach from the house is a 700 meters walk away and the town centre a five minutes walk. Renting bicycles?
