If you are looking for a beautiful place in the surf mecca of Cabo Verde where you can feel instantly at home, Casa Pau is for you. Using recycled material your hosts Berta and Rui have converted a private house into a super cosy ecofriendly guesthouse and coliving space.

Its small number of rooms and tranquil surroundings will provide you with the perfect atmosphere for staying productive, while you explore the uncrowded surf of Cabo Verde.

Our remote working community

Communal dinners in our shared kitchen, board game nights in the living room and after work surf sessions everyone together. Casa Pau's handfull of rooms really facilitate a community vibe. The people who stays with us easily get to know each other, and since we are still not 100 % focused on a remote work crowd, you will get to know lots of different and people staying with us.

Our Coworking Space

We don't have any dedicated cowork space with office chairs just yet, but we do have plenty of different spaces where you can get your work done.

If you prefer an upright position and a good table space for your computer, our dining room table and chairs work perfectly as a workspace. If you're in comfy office mode instead, we have a sofa lounge inside and super comfy lounge chairs on the patio.

Everything is always reachable by a 16 mbps wifi signal. Although it may not sound that impressive, it works well for video calls and is pretty darn good in Cabo Verde.

The Surf near Sal, Cabo Verde

The archipelago of Cabo Verde is a surfers dream and all over the islands it offers everything from gentle beginner friendly waves to an abundance of unexplored and underrated top-class waves. The largest wave concentration you find on the island of sal, which also happens to be the island where Casa Pau is located.

Warm water, uncrowded brakes, and regardless of wind there will be at least one side of Sal that offers that perfectly sweet offshore wind. If you're a beginner, you just need to walk a few minutes and you'll get to our closest beach. It offers a wide selection of board rental, surf classes and kitesurf schools.

Besides being an amazing windsurfing destination, you also have so good kite surfing that a Cabo Verdian kite surfer won the world' top competition in 2008.

Very nice and cosy place in Santa Maria. Also the interior is quite unique what we liked a lot. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We felt like home and can totally recommend this place.

I had an amazing time in Casa Pau. It is a charming place, spacious and with a great taste in the design of both rooms and common areas. All is handmade by the owners out of recycled or reused natural materials, with a lot of incredible details. On top of it, Berta and Rui were the perfect hosts for such a lovely place. For sure I will repeat.

Casa Pau is located in a calm residential area of Sal, only a 2 minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the city center. Close by you find several restaurants to have a drink or eat and grocery stores for shopping.
