Our remote working community
People come for a week and end up staying with us for months because of the dense population of digital nomads calling St Kilda home.

The Surf near St Kilda, Australia
The closest place to jump on your board and ride some waves near St Kilda is Mornington Peninsula, a 70km drive south-east of the city center. There you’ll find some killer waves but also great places for beginners.
If you go in the other direction west of Melbourne towards the Great Ocean Road you’ll continue to see more and more coastline with stunning beaches and that’s just a portion of the 2000 kilometres of coastline that you can find in Victoria. As you go southwest along the coast you’ll find the town of Torquay.
Most locals and even international surfers consider Torquay the surfing capital of Australia. So you can imagine the surfing you can find here – and it’s only a 1-hour drive away (or 2 hours by public transport).
