Our remote working community

Spontaneous acoustic jam nights, communal dinners where you get to try food from all over the world, fun and intelligent discussions, after surf card games, watching sunsets and moonsets over the Pacific. Sharing an appreciation for nature and learning from each other.

Maybe it's the awesome upstairs common area with an amazing ocean view. Or maybe it's just something special about the place, but at the Troncones point hostel, these type of community events always happens organically and people usually get to know each other very fast.

If you need to take a rest day from the surf there are also lots of other activities to try out nearby. The beach of Manzanillo Bay has been voted one of the best in Mexico. Besides surfing, it's perfect for activities such as snorkeling, paddle boarding and swimming.

We also highly recommend joining one of the local fishermen for a fishing boat excursion, which most likely will lead to a delicious fish bbq. While keeping an eye on your fishing rod, you may see everything from sea turtles to dolphins and whales.

Our Coworking Space

Whether you're working hard or hardly working, at Troncones there is always a spot where you can get things done. And with 150 Mbps and two separate modems, there is no risk for the speed to get jammed up.

Most of our private rooms have a table to work from, perfect for private calls. If you instead prefer more of a cowork atmosphere, there is communal seating and tables where you can set up your laptop for the day.

On top of the above, we are also currently constructing a dedicated workspace, which hopefully should be available very soon.

The Surf near Troncones, Mexico

The Troncones area boasts several world-class surf breaks and thanks to the variety of the spots there are usually some great waves to be surfed. The closest one to our Coworksurf house is Troncones point, also called Manzanillo Bay. It's basically just in front of the hostel and if the swell is right it can pack a lot of punch.

If you continue walking south you get to the Troncones beach, a 5 km beach stretch of crowd-free beach that tend to create various sand bar and some amazing peaks when the conditions are right. Best of all, these can work on all different tides and swells.

Besides these walking distance breaks, there are also several epic spots within a short drive both north and south. Such as the river mouth La Boca and the wave machine Saladita. Make sure you're fit enough for rides over a minute long.

Stayed here for two weeks. Great atmosphere, upstairs kitchen/common area is awesome and has a nice view. Four minute walk to the point if you want to surf. Staff is awesome, owners weren't there during my stay but a girl named Yas greeted me and showed me around which was great. The place seems to attract cool people, overall great time.

My favorite hostel I’ve ever been to. The place is incredibly clean, beautiful shower with awesome water pressure, showering at night under the stars was the best. The dorm was so sweet and the beach was very close and stunning. The owners couldn’t have been more cool, and the town is a great blend of local culture and diet accommodating tourist cafes/restaurants. Highly recommend, worth every penny you pay. Thank you Tom and Liz for such a fun two weeks! I’ll be back for sure. I’ll miss your doggie. Take care -Lexie
